The scene is coming together. Here we have the car salesman, who you have met before, and Doofus. Doofus is the star of our show. He makes mistakes and uses poor judgement all the time. In this scene he has just discovered that his credit rating is horrible, because someone has used his financial information to get credit cards in his name, etc. So he can't buy the car he wants.
