I want to make a banner for an Etsy site. Typical webpage banner size, like 1 inch by 8 inches or so (100 by 600-700 pixels). The Etsy site is place where I can put paintings up for sale. Of course, I don't actually have any paintings right now (a couple of unfinished cars and a big monster, plus some dregs from the robot show) to help guide my ideas for the banner, but I figure it needs to be a banner than will span my interests. I have a few, but I am not sure how I feel about them quite yet. Any thoughts on style?

I like the cars best (of these). But why not... a robot driving a car!
I tried that earlier, but the robot is too small to be seen inside the car.
I'm with Janelle -- like the car... but maybe you could have rotating banners to get across some of the different looks you create? But of course, then you don't have the branding of a singular banner... and now I'm rambling...
I agree with Janelle and Gretchen, but I feel compelled to add that, since my prior comment about being afraid of the brown monster...I now realize that he is just shy. I feel bad about saying I was afraid of him. I think he should be your spokesmodel.
xo
P.S. Just a nod to Gretchen's revolving banner idea...it is a good one and, from a marketing perspective, you will not erode your brand with your multiple looks. But I am still in favor of Shy guy spokesmodel.
I have to say I'm with the cars. But I would be afraid that I would draw the NASCAR crowd -- which you may or may not be angling for. Do NASCAR fans shop at Etsy?
That bird sure is cute...
