I've been working on some block prints (linoleum). So far, two different versions of an owl. These will just be in editions of 10. The photo below I staged -- the stuff wasn't really this close together as I was experimenting with some proofs.
Much easier than wood! there are actually lotys of different kinds of carving linoleum. Softer is easier to carve but harder to get a real fine line. Harder ones get a fine line but are, well, harder! I use a kind of middle of the road linoleum block. Pretty fast once the design is drawn out.
And the results are wonderful! Thank you again, Sharon, for my print. I haven't mailed Freya's yet because we are collecting many things to send... Cinda

That looks complicated -- awesome, but complicated. Is carving linoleum difficult?
